A grey hair appeared, and with it, every story I thought I’d buried.

Grey is a hybrid short film blending fiction, documentary, and experimental forms. The story examines the complex legacy of a non-Native ancestor and the ways inherited pain can echo through generations. With poetic visuals and internal reflection, Grey becomes an act of resistance, healing, and reclamation.

S.O.L., A documentary by Regina Simons (in development)

Overview:

S.O.L. (Statute of Limitations / Shit Outta Luck) is a poetic, experimental film that explores the limits of justice and the unpredictable path to healing from trauma. Through spoken word, archival images, and honest personal stories, the film explores how people respond to trauma by freezing, fleeing, fighting, and, ultimately, finding freedom.

S.O.L. is both personal and political. It breaks the silence, reveals where systems fail, and takes back the power of storytelling. The film reminds us that justice may run out, but healing continues.
